Which watches are water-resistant?

All of our watches have a minimum water resistance of 165 ft. Our Dive Watches are tailored for people who actually dive, so they include an industrial strength water seal and an automatic movement to tolerate depths of 660 ft max.

Which watches are battery operated?

Our watches that are tailored for aviation & tactical professionals (ELISE, KATHERINE, AMELIA, JORDAN) require precision timing.  Quartz movements powered by battery will always provide the most accuracy in a watch

Can I take my flight watch on a dive?

Though your water resistance is 165ft, we do not recommend diving with your flight watch.  See this chart for more technical information. 

 

When I order an Abingdon Watch, what comes in the box?

When you order from TheAbingdonCo.com, you will receive

  • Your brand new Abingdon watch
  • At least one watch band (varies per product)
  • A freshly installed battery (inserted right before delivery)
  • Product Documentation including a warranty registration card and a QR code that will link you to Video Manuals
  • Complimentary Sticker

My watch needs a new battery. Do I have to send it in to you to get it changed?

Not necessarily.  You can work with a local repair shop if its more convenient for you.  Bands and battery changes do not void your warranty. If you need to take your watch somewhere local, we recommend NOT taking your watch to a jewelry store. Instead, take it to a watch repair store.

If you get a battery change by a local business and the watch is damaged, it is the user’s responsibility to cover repair costs and your warranty will be void.  
If you wish to send it in to us to have your battery changed, please note we do FREE battery changes and cleanings for every watch that is sent in for repair.
What is the Warranty?

Our watches have a 5 Year Warranty.

I ordered the wrong watch. What do I do?

We have a 30 day return policy, as long as the watch is in new condition and undamaged, you can swap it out.  Please let us know through our Contact Page.

I’m sending this as a gift. Is a receipt included in the box?

No, the receipt is not included in the box.  You will receive a digital receipt via email only. 

I have a sensitivity to nickel. Do you use nickel in your watches?

No, we use surgical grade stainless steel. No nickel or nickel alloys.  We use the same material used in surgical scalpels.

How long do the leather bands typically last?

6-8 months with normal wear.  Replacement bands are available on our website.  We recommend skipping the first loop.
